That’s it! This method also worked perfectly when we tried to cast the Oculus Quest 2 on a Samsung tv.

How To Cast Oculus Quest 2 To Roku Tv Without Chromecast 

If you do not have Chromecast, you can still cast Oculus Quest 2 on your Roku TV! 

This is slightly more complicated than the process which involved Chromecast, but it is still quite simple. There are many ways you can do this. The first one is using the Oculus TV app. Devices that support Oculus have this built-in feature that allows you to cast Quest content to your Roku TV. 

You need to open the Oculus TV app and choose the Quest content you want to cast. 

In case you do not have the Oculus TV app, you can use your phone (both iOS and Android devices can work) screen to mirror your Roku TV screen. The process is different for iOS and Android devices, and we shall take a look at both. 

Steps To Cast Oculus Quest 2 To Roku Using iPhone

Follow these steps to cast Oculus Quest 2 to your Roku TV using an iOS device: 

  • Make sure that your TV, phone, and Oculus device have a strong Wi-Fi connection. 

  • Go to the ‘Quick Access’ menu on your iPhone. 
  • Go for the ‘Screen Mirror’ option. 
  • Choose the AirPlay option to mirror your screen.
  • Choose Quest as your AirPlay device and start streaming.

Steps To Cast Oculus Quest 2 To Roku Using Android

Follow these steps to cast Oculus Quest 2 to your Roku TV using an Android device: 

  • Make sure that your TV, phone, and Oculus device have a strong Wi-Fi connection. 
  • Go to the ‘Quick Access’ menu on your phone. 
  • Choose the ‘Smart View’ or ‘Screen Mirror’ option.
  • You will see a list of devices connected to your Wi-Fi network. Tap on the Roku TV option. This will start the screen mirroring your TV.
  • You might be asked for a confirmation code before the process commences.
  • When the prompt appears on your TV, choose the ‘Allow’ option. 
  • Go to the ‘Meta Quest’ app on your phone and put on your Oculus headset. 
  • Press the Oculus button and tap on the ‘Share’ menu. 
  • Click on the ‘Cast’ option and the ‘Meta Quest mobile app’ on the next screen. 
  • Click on ‘Next’, and this should cast your Oculus Ques to the mobile app, which will be mirrored to your TV.

There is yet another way to cast Oculus Quest 2 to your Roku TV in case your phone cannot connect with Oculus Quest. Make sure that the Bluetooth is turned on on your phone. Go to the ‘Menu’ option and then select ‘Devices’. You can then connect your Oculus Quest to your phone and then mirror it to your Roku TV.

How To Cast Oculus (Meta) Quest 2 To Your Laptop And Then Mirror It To Roku Tv

Oculus Quest 2 can also be cast from your laptop in case you are running into issues with casting it from your phone to your Roku TV. Here are the steps to follow:

  • Open oculus.com/casting on your laptop.
  • With the same credentials you use on Meta Quest 2, log in. 
  • Turn on your Oculus headset and press the ‘Oculus’ button. 
  • Choose the ‘Menu’ option, go to ‘Sharing’ and choose the ‘Cast’ option. 
  • Select the ‘Computer/Laptop’ option instead of your phone. 
  • Select ‘Next’.
